New Year's Eve was probably the best one I've had. No, it was the best one I've had. I normally spend my time in front of the TV by myself. This time, I went to David's house for a pretty decent-sized get-together. Initially, it was kinda boring, especially when I didn't know half of the people. But, when it got near midnight, we headed outside to watch the fireworks. The view was absolutely amazing. We had a panoramic view of Stavanger that is hard to describe unless you saw a picture. At midnight, sparklers were handed out and everyone was hugging. I got hugs from people I barely knew. The rest of the night was a lot of fun. The group of people I didn't know left and we basically just hung out the rest of the night. People were dancing. Andre was drunk and falling on top of everything. Good times.
We were supposed to get a taxi at 3:30am and it came and then left. So, we started walking back. Astri, Kayleigh, Cassie, Scott, and I hailed a taxi on the main road. Andre continued to the gas station to buy a hot dog. By the time I got back to my parents' house, it was after 4am.
Right now, I am in Tromsø for a few days. It's dark the entire day, with a little bit of dusk during mid-day. Our plane landed an hour late because of snow last night, so we got in around 1am. Tonight we are driving near the Swedish and Finnish borders to go dogsledding. Pretty pumped. I will post pictures of it after the trip (no uploading cord with me right now).
