Dear Montreal Gazette,
When a player is injured and therefore not participating in All-Star festivities (except for one interview, some autographs, and an introduction), it does not work to compare him to one that participated fully in all aspects of the weekend. Especially when in that comparison you use examples from athletic contests that one was unable to participate in.
The best part of All-Star weekend minus Crosby is the hope that there will be no comparison with Ovechkin, as only one plays, and people like you ruin it. Just like how last year Ovechkin "showed up" Crosby, even though Crosby was miles away, hobbling around on a sprained ankle. Seriously.
